Recreation

All recreational facilities are administered by the Recreation Manager whose office is located at the main Recreation Complex.  The Recreation Manager is responsible for all in-season scheduling at the main Recreation Complex, Golf House, Point Park and Aquatics facility.  This includes yearly activity groups, special events and private parties.  The Recreation Manager is also responsible for the Overlook park area including the Billiards Club and the Shuffleboard Club.

The Recreation Complex is equipped with two full kitchens, two card/game lounge areas, small conference/music room, three craft rooms and a large recreation hall.  All facilities at the Recreation Complex are available for pre-scheduled activities from May 15th through October 15th.

The Golf House has a large commercial kitchen and two lounge areas that are available for scheduling private parties, meetings or other activities.

Point Park consists of two acres of green area for games.  There is a 32’ x 48’ undercover pavilion with 12 picnic tables, fireplace and an open fire pit for marshmallow roasting.  The area is ideal for family picnics, reunions, concerts, and outdoor parties.

The Recreation Complex, Golf House, and Point Park use must be coordinated through the Recreation Manager at 828-733-8316.

The Aquatics Center traditionally opens the Saturday before Memorial Day and closes on Labor Day.
