Welcome to the Club! The Linville Land Harbor Yacht Club invites you to join us in sailing on our beautiful 45-acre lake. No dockage fees or life vest required in this Yacht Club. Our boats are Model Radio Controlled Soling 1 Meter sailboats made by Victor Model Yachts.

Don’t have a boat? Buy or build one! We have catalogs that you can use to buy a pre-built sailboat or you can buy a model kit and have all the fun and satisfaction of building your very own. Many of us have built our own sailboats and are willing to assist anyone that needs help building one of his or her own.

You can sail any day of the week as the buoys stay out all summer. Races are held every Thursday and Saturday at 1pm at the Outdoor Exercise Area next to the Recreation Complex where there is usually a good prevailing wind. Our canoe is always on the ready to rescue any sailboat that desires to go in a direction opposite than that of the captain manning the remote control device. We have all levels of competition, some boaters are more skilled then others but everyone is more than happy to help beginners and our main objective is to always have a lot of fun.

You are welcome to just stop by to say hello, spend a lazy afternoon rooting for your favorite boat or captain, or just watch our sailing techniques. Linville Land Harbor is the perfect place to enjoy the summertime in the mountains!
